Our NCL cruise ship docked in Kahului. To get to the city from the dock, we had to walk through a disgusting decayed industrial area where old sugar cane warehouses were falling apart, where huge piles of tractor tires were piled, and where fences topped with barbed wire formed a path on the cracked concrete to lead us to the... As we approached the end of our trip around the North end of the Island, we could see all the way down the harbor Pier. This is a great place to watch the waves crash in, today was exceptionally good for that

We visited the breakwater on our last day in Maui before our flight. There is a fairly long concrete breakwater that faces the pier where the cruiseships come in. A large parking lot in near the small boat launch, and a seniors centre that is focused on fishing (not something you can visit, but rather a place for local seniors... More

Arrived on cruise ship and walked to see the sea turtles near the pier, Many people swim near here and the water was clear. We walked down the street to the Queen Ka'ahumanu Centre and caught the bus. An all day pass cost just $4 and is a great way to explore.

There are a load of options for going snorkelling at the Molokini crater but we got a good deal with these guys and just went for it. I'd say it's a bit more rough round the edges but what you get is the best experience and a really fun day out. These guys basically run the 'party boat' of the... More

It's a working deep water port for crying out loud right in the middle of paradise! All you have to do is leave the actual port area and is is wonderful. The Hana Highway, the windsurfing, the snorkeling, the city, the waterfalls .....

There is a canoe race next to First Hawaiian Bank cause they have a club next door. Seems fun. It is dirty but it is a harbor. Big ships come in and the beach is gross with cigarette butts and they have strays roaming around. But what did you expect it to look like?paradise?

Booked this through one of the booking agents at the shore side and mentioned that it would include "dry" snorkeling equipment (not true). This tour includes "continental" breakfast, deli lunch, and free booze. Note that the tour does not actually go to turtle town but a place they refer to as "turtle ghetto" Overall, Catamaran is tiny and is cramp... More
