We had a great day of snorkeling at Molokini Crater - this is a MUST SEE if you are on Maui. Although the waves were big cruising out to the site, it wasn't bad at the crater. Crystal clear water allows you to see everything....More

Molokini Crater is a great place to go snorkeling! Most Resort hotels have activity centers that can set you up for a day of snorkeling at Molokini Crater and Turtle Cove.

Yesterday my wife & I visited MOLKINI on a snorkel trip. I won’t mention the boat as this review would apply to ANY boat! We have visited Molokini twice before over the past 2 decades... The colorful fish are now GONE! DON’T waste time &...More

Brilliant colours! Lots and lots of fish,so many different species. The water is so clear it's hard to tell the depth but you can see forever. The most beautiful blue calm waters

Molokini Crater can only be seen if you take a charter boat to the crater. The attraction is to snorkel and view the tropical fish and you will see plenty. Be aware that you will be swimming with 30-60 other snorkeling people that are all...More

I doubted long to do this trip. Would it be worth the money, compared to off-shore snorkelling? After a disappointment at Olowalu, I decided to give it a try. We went with blue water rafting. I liked the tour they do at the caves and...More

Snorkeled on both sides of Molokini. Good visibility but lot of boats on the cove side. Very interesting to see the wall side.

I have taken a couple of different tours to the crater. Pride of Maui, Maui Magic, both were excellent. Sometimes the crater cooperates and sometimes the ocean is too rough to go. Most tours will take a peak and see what the conditions are like...More

Experiencing the undersea world of Molokini Crater was a bucket list item for me., thanks to all the hype. I can check it off the list now but I cannot say I was wowed. The visibility was good and the reef is in decent shape....More

Took a snorkel tour out to the crater which was good. But if this is Hawaii’s top snorkel spot as said in tour guides, I’ve been to better places on other islands. It’s a good experience to see it, but I wouldn’t go again. The...More

I am 62 years old and did not need a wet suit. We went in April. I did not notice any difference between the Crater and on shore. Cool at first, just jump in and start swimming you'll do fine.

Yes, There is one boat rental company, but you cannot anchor there, must use a mooring and they are for commercial vessels only until 10AM.

Hi Sorry for the late reply. We did both and I preferred scuba diving. The key is to make sure you are at the crater before all the snorkel companies get there. When we went we were diving at first light and had the crater... More
