Should be renamed the "old grand wailea" this hotel is showing her age despite a resent remodel. The rooms which where remodeled and a nice size did not say Hawaii except for wood slotted doors covering the sliders which did nothing to stop the sun coming though at 6 am the room was clean but other areas of the hotel... We came down because my husband had a medical conference at the resort. We stayed 5 days. The resort is beautiful with beautiful views of the ocean. Everything was first class. The beach was small but if you get there early you can rent a chair and umbrella for free. The pools were very nice and warm but busy and... More

We purchased the 100$ tickets and were seated at one of the 62 tables. Each table has 10 seats , so $62000 in sales (less kids lets just call it $55000) I have been in resorts and eaten at buffets, in Canada, USA, and Mexico, and value for the dollar this is by far the worst, just a let down..the... The beach is really nice, a little dirty, but nice. The swimming is great and the snorkeling and scuba diving is amazing. I would recommend this beach to anyone who wants to try snorkeling or just go in a laid back awesome looking spot.

This was our fourth trip to Maui. We stayed at Grand Wailea our first time, and the service was quite poor, the food/drinks/any other available service was over-priced, and we decided to not go back. We gave them the benefit of the doubt this time again and tried to visit the grounds with friends who were staying at the hotel,... More

We purchased our tickets from "Maui Snorkel Store" at the Sugar Beach resort. the lady who helped ( Athena Walsh) made a recommendation that we buy the "select" seating so that we would get closer to the stage. it was a very entertaining and well choreographed presentation. the EmCee told the stories and myths of the island gods and goddesses.... We went to the luau at the Grand Wailea Resort. This was my 3rd Luau and I was disappointed with the food. It tasted like a mass produced buffet. The traditional roast pig was tuff. The buns were not fresh - it like they opened a large bag that was purchased at a large chain store and served them. That... More

We access this beach from the trail, but there are other points of entry also. It is heavily used by the Grand Wailea guests but it is not a private beach. Great snorkeling, beautiful setting, not a huge beach but it has lots beach sand so there's plenty of places to set yourself down. Gentle rolling waves, nothing to drag... More

We were going to rent paddle boards from the four seasons next door to the Grand Wailea. We were actually staying at the Grand Wailea and found out they had a location on site that you could rent from. The great thing is if your staying for awhile you can rent them for 3 or 4 days (its a package... More
