What an incredible visit! We parked on the main drag and walked up (as the sign suggested). A gentlemen waved at us, smiling. We assumed he was pointing us in the direction to go to visit the farm, but it turns out he "Is the Man!" What an education on the history and cultivation of Macadamia farming. We were the... More

We had a quick visit at the Macadamia Nut Farm, due to having to catch our flight, we couldn't take the tour. However, the owner was very gracious and taught us a lot about his products. Very interesting, and a fun place to visit,,

The reason you go to Molokai is to experience Hawaii up close and personal. To be able to visit the Purdy Nut farm was a treat. Consuming massive amount of Mac nuts while on the islands is a must, but seeing how they got from the tree into that bag was very interesting. You get nuts off the tree to... More

Visit Purdy's for everything macadamia nut related. This is an organic farm that offers education and samples of the wonderful trees. They ship! If you can fit it in the box, they will ship it home for you. I don't want to give anything away, but being on the farm and meeting the family was definitely worth the trip. Their... More

Purdy's is a one family operation that gives you a much better idea of how Macadamia nuts are grown and processed than on the commercial farms on the Big Island. As you walk up the small road, Purdy comes out to greet you. He starts off with stories about this particular farm and the grove of very old Macadamia nut... More

We dropped in toward the end of one afternoon and encountered Purdy. He was giving a tour to a group of visitors from europe and invited us to tag along. This man is passionate about macadamia nuts. He took us through the whole process of producing the nuts before he would even consider selling us anything. We saw the buds,... More

Had a personal tour to learn about the tiny farm. Interesting to learn about Mac nuts. Got to try samples, learned how to open Mac nuts. Worth the stop!

This was very informative! Nice lady gave a talk about the trees and the history of the place, then we were shown how to crack the nuts, and given free sample of the nuts, some honey too!

Tons to learn from the people here. Very willing to talk and teach about the macadamia tree and it's life cycle. We really enjoyed it and nuts are delicious.

We found this place our last day on Molokai. You never know when you will have the opportunity to learn something and this was one of those times. Did you know that Macadamia trees produce all year? I learned that and a few other interesting facts about Macadamia nuts and the nuts the Purdys sell. This is a beautiful and... More
