Easy drive- amazing view at the top

This is an easy drive. At the top you can park your car and then walk to the view point. You can see over the city and also out to the ocean. It was stunning at sunset.

I would like to just ad to the reviews that you must remember that people live here and children lie down on skateboards going down the mountain and you can't see them if your eyes are not on the road and on the scenery. Also there are a lot of people on bikes that you could easily miss as well.... More

We went at dusk which I think was the best time to visit and clearly others agreed as the outlook was very busy with people at this time including many, many tourist buses. Be reaaaallllly careful as you approach because if you miss the turn into Nutridge Street from Round Top Drive, there is no easy/safe turn around close by.... More

If you have a car this is a good drive. Not far from Waikiki, but feels like another world. Some great vegetation and some wonderful views.

As long as you don't get car sick, this is a great little drive with some pull off spots to see some wonderful views of the island. Specifically, there is a park entrance near the top that makes a great spot to watch sunset. Just follow the signs to the lookout area. Parking is limited so you might want to... More

If you have a car, this drive is well worth the time. There are a few pull outs that offer awesome views of the city and a nice look at Diamondhead. Continue up to the park for some more views, a little hike or a picnic. Don't forget your camera, this would be a great place to watch the sunset.... More

Spectacular drive or bike. This is the only registered National Historic Drive on Oahu and only one of two in the entire state of Hawaii ( Hana is the other). I am absolutely dumbfounded why the state does not take better care of such a treasure. Everything is overgrown making is a much more dangerous drive than is has to... More

I'm really surprised that this drive isn't more raved about! As someone who has logged several miles in rental cars driving up the hills in California, this was a dream. The drive is nice and winding but the views are truly spectacular. I've done a few hikes in Hawaii with some great views but never one like this. I felt... More

There is an overlook at the top of the drove that offers some of the best views on Oahu. The drive up is nice, but the overlook is the icing on the cake. You can see literally the entire southeast side of the island including Honolulu, Diamond Head, Waikiki, and the airport. Highly recommend.

Unfortunately we didn't see a rainbow while we were at Round Top Drive, but that didn't take away from it's beauty. It's a pretty short drive to the top.........so if you don't feel like hiking Diamond Head to see all of Waikiki, than this is the spot for you.
