Very professional actors, a wonderfully intimate venue (they even have accommodations for the hearing-impaired). Restaurants and bars nearby. Great value.

This small theatre in Arlington Heights is the ideal setting for intimate performances that take place between the performers and the audience. Friendly, relaxed atmosphere. We go as often as possible.

I recently bought tickets to the Metropolis for my wife to the show "Girls just want to have fun" for our anniversary. The place was really howling and a lot of fun. Metropolis is located in downtown Arlington Heights and is easily accessible by train and a few miles east of 53 north as well. The theater is nicely sized... More

Great theater. Terrific show. I know there are only a couple of days left for the performance, but if you are looking for something fun, well done and a little sexy, head to Arlington Heights. A wonderful show filled with lots of talent. Well worth the money. Free parking nearby is a bonus!

Actors were very talented. The theater was small so ANY seat is a good seat. The price was much less than going to a Chicago theater but you will not have the ornate decor of a Chicago theater. It's easier to get to than a Chicago theater with many restaurants in walking distance and so is the train station. I... More

We went here for our first time and really liked it! It is a quaint venue, it was smaller then we thought which is why we loved it so much. Every seat is a good seat. We saw Young Frankenstein. So cute and funny! Actors are very talented and entertaining. We are going to go to the other shows for... More

Metropolis is an awesome place to see a show-hardly a bad seat in the house! Some of the shows are great! Loved the recent show, "Rent!" Last year, Eric Berger presented one of the best musical/variety shows I have seen in my whole life! In the past some of the shows have been so-so or worse. Hopefully, it will all... More

A nice facility in downtown Arlington Hts IL that is somewhat intimate (not toooo small) that offers plays, concerts, musicals etc. Recently attended Ring of Fire, a Johnny Cash tribute cover band. Enjoyed them. Sound is good as are sight lines. Concession stand in theatre serves beer, wine and non-alcoholic beverages, only. There are some good restaurants within walking distance.

The talent this theater manages to find is downright amazing. We have not been disappointed by any of the shows we've seen. And the theater is small enough that there's a great view from every seat. Free parking is just around the corner in the big garage. There is a bar and you can bring your drinks to your seats... More
