Even though you might read that it is the largest minaret in the world, seeing is believing. When you stand at its footsteps and look up - you will believe the muezzin may be reaching to the clouds for call to prayer. Beautifully handcrafted with different influences of architecture - whether it be medieval Moorish, or later day - metal... More

Gorgeous, spacious, and built on reclaimed land this is a masterpiece of Moorish architecture. Intricate mosaics and stucco, beautiful marble floors. Be careful of the empty pools; easy to trip.

The square is very impressive itself (HUGE, with scattered pockets of people). We happened to visit around 3pm during a city tour with our Gate1Travel group,... More

The highest building in Morocco. The most modern mosque in the world. The best of the best materials. The majority of the building placed on the land formerly being a part of the Atlantic Ocean. The Islamic response to the landmarks of Christianity. The gigantic eruption of conceit - what is not to like (well, maybe aside from pigeons and... More

This is apparently the third largest mosque in the middle East and I was blown away by the intricate details in the structure. More impressive was that this was built to be jutting into the sea and that it was earthquake proof. Recommend having a guide who can explain the unique aspects of this mosque. It apparently cost US $4... More
