Easy acces by Tram, it's an old traditional market place, where you can eat fresh fish and make shopping. But only during the day

A true taste of local Morocco. This old part of downtown Casablanca is colorful and full of life. If you are a keen seafood enthusiast then go there and sift through the fish and seafood on display then take whatever you bought to galley of restaurants in the same place and have them cook it the way you like. I... More

When in the market, every cooking stall is trying to get you to come and eat with them. They yell, grab, etc. The guy who got me to eat (albeit on a different day) was Mamadou, a Senegalese gentleman who simply walked with me for a while, and said, "When you come back, if you guy fish from these guys,... If you love open air style marketplaces you will love this market. It's not very huge but what it lacks in size it gains in character. You can stroll the market (all contained inside the courtyard and the walls that surround it) and then settle down to dine in one of the very basic seafood restaurants within. When I went... More

Just a beautiful and genuine spot of Casablanca. Food market in a nice original building where you can buy fish, meat, fruit and vegetables. The market is surrounded by small restaurants which use to prepare traditional dishes made with fresh ingredients. There I asked for calamari and it was such a good surprise to taste an unusual way to cook... More

I understand that for people coming from countries where this kind of markets are not a tradition, it could be great and fun to see it. For those that known other market, this one is getting obsolete, and some work to improve hygiene and light, it should be taken seriously in account. Quality of the food inside is good and... More
