We drove past. There was no need to stop because most of the people were in a hurry, so there was not much of a photo opportunity. It looks like they are working on improving the area.

It will be beautiful when finished. The parks are being redone with large areas roped off. A new theatre is under construction and it looks like it will be amazing. Not much going on there right now.

In my own opinion the square is nicer than the mosquee itself. It is huge and most time empty - compared with other famous locations. Absolutely well-design construction with extraordinary art style. A little bit freezing especially in water, but take a sit and let the sea wind kiss your face is not a bad choice.

Here we can see samples from the period of French domination in harmony with Moorish architecture. The buildings that dominate around the square is the Prefecture , the courts , the central post office , several banks and cultural organizations. The prefecture (1937) in the southeast easily distinguished from the bell tower that rises above the height of 50 m.... More

Very family friendly is how one describes the Square. Especially on a weekend, you can see an abundance of children feeding the pigeons and enjoying playing and running around with other kids. The Square is in itself also close to many amazing structures like the Post Office and City Hall which are architecturally interesting. Many old buildings surrounding the square... More

This is a busy square with lots of people coming and going and looking. I really think there are many other places that you can spend your time than here.

We started our visit of the center of Casablanca from here and then went to the Corniche where you can find the best restaurants.

This square is as uninteresting as it is possible. The whole city, except for the ville nouvelle neighbourhood around the corner, which is a must visit.
