We didn't like it as we are not shopping fans and, here, the items sold seemed very poor quality. Replica bags were widely displayed. We can't say if they were nice, we weren't interested and we didn't watched them accurately. It's not a charming market as in Marrakech. Casa is a large, bustling town; we are regular hikers but we... More

I visited several medinas in Morocco and liked this one the least. There weren't that many traditional Moroccan crafts or artwork for sale. Mostly, there is a lot of fake handbags, etc. Beware if you walk through this medina - the alleys are narrow and there is a lot of raw meat around FYI.

We walked through the Medina and picked up some bargains. The traders were all good humoured and not pushy, haggling was a pleasant experience, not an ordeal unlike some places we have visited. Lots of counterfeit goods of course, but still sufficient shops selling local goods and jewellery etc to get a feel of Morocco.

Walking around the Medina is a fun experience. There are plenty of unique little shops. Sometimes you need to go into a shop and see what else they have. At the street level it can look as if they all have the same thing. Don't be afraid to barter on price, and look around first to get a sense of... More

I was disappointed in this as I expected to see more traditional Moroccan wares for sale. There were a lot of what looked like fake hand bags, watches and clothing. We were nagged quite a lot to spend as we walked through. Worth a visit for the experience but don't expect too much.

As this was our last stop, perhaps it was that I have just run out of steam. If you have an opportunity to shop at the Fez Medina then seize the opportunity to do so! I would use the Casablanca Medina as the last call to spend any last money you don't want to reconvert to US$

Second day in Casablanca we went to the Medina. While we found it interesting, it does not compare to other medinas we have visited. It is fairly small and doesn't have same variety of attractions as other medinas such as Fes, Tangier and Marakech. If you are going to other cities in Morocco you can skip this Medina.

Items were inferior plus the hassles of beggers everywhere. It rates a 1 and Marrakesh rates a 10 for goods, excitement and environment. SKIP it

didn't really enjoy it here, too many touts selling tatt. also trying to give away sim cards & over-priced coffee shops.

We visit different markets all over the world and Old Medina is a great place to meet wonderful people. It was nice to speak French and we enjoyed the conversations we had with the sellers/traders. Great experience!
