If you miss Ali Ben Youssef in Marrakech, you could find something similar here. We had a good guide explaining all the artwork, archtecture and background of the college which was very impressive.

Medersa are scattered throughout the Medina but this is the only one you can enter. A guide is recommended to understand the dramatic changes in Islamic educational customs from the time of this construction to the present.

Very nice architecture. The designs are almost identical to Bou Inania but this building is smaller in size. You may want to give this a miss if you have already visited Bou Inania.

It's pretty and the artistry is well done. However, once you see this one, you won't need to visit any others in Morocco. They all look the same and generally don't have any history behind them. Cheap to get in though.....20 dhms.

I have visited many historical buildings in Fes and other Morocco medinas and I found Attarin Medersa is the best in design and maintenance.

there is a small entrance fee, but it s well spend. You need either a book guide or tour guide to explain the details and the history behind it.

The details of the wall craftwork is amazing. The guide gave us explanation on how the building is used back in the past and it adds the historical meaning of the building.

Our guide explained the nuances of the building and the school. I would have liked to have seen the dormitories as well. The cedar door is really pretty, and opens onto a courtyard with a fountain.

Medersa is the Koranic school. So access is only allowed in the main courtyard, however worthwhile....
