We did like the handmade jewellery and the cute litlle boutiques but there are much better things to visit in Fez like the historical buildings in the medina.

Mellah in Hebrew is king. The Jewish cemetery was very fascinating from the history of the rich and dynamic Jewish community that was Fes but not only Morocco. The quarter is just a skeleton of what existed pre 1948.

This place is inside the historic city but there is not much to see except if you want to buy some jewellery.

The Mellah has everything- you can see the Jewish style buildings both before and after restoration. The spice market is amazing, and the cemetery interesting (especially if you have a guide with great stories and explanations).

Check with your Riad in Fes. This would be the most trusted way of finding out. Some days the street market is closed.
