We stumbled upon this shop/museum/gallery randomly and spent a wonderful hour or two in there. The owner is very friendly and helpful and keeps revealing more and more rooms packed with beautiful things. Beware - there will be plenty you will want to take home with you (the intricate chests and game tables were particularly stunning), and although a bit... More

Got a fantastic tour in this shop which is like a museum / art gallery / furniture shop. Wonderful marocccan furniture, carpets, lamps, traditional tagines and much more. More pricey than on the street, but really nice stuff, I wanted to take it all back home with me! The owner show you around and is really friendly and helpful. Good... More

We had a wonderful experience purchasing a few pieces of jewelry with semi-precious stones in the Berber design. Yes, there was negotiation but that is the Moroccan way. Since I've come home I've worn a few of the pieces to rave reviews. This store is a class act - not inexpensive, but beautiful work.

Four preliminary comments: First, I think it might be helpful to provide directions to find Ethno Art. Starting at the large square, Jamaa El-Fna, face north. Walk north from Jamaa El-Fna along Rue Fehl Chidmi/Souk Laksour for approximately 80 yards. Turn right at Derb Dabachi. Walk east 110 yards to Semmarine. Turn left and walk along Semmarine another 220 yards.... More

A friend and I were on our way to the museum through the madness of the Souk. I would have loved to look at more shops and stalls but I was tired at been accosted and pushed into sales. This is when we came upon the Ethno Art Shop. We greeted the man outside and asked if we could look.... More

In a souk filled with "the same old stuff" lies Ethno Art Gallery. When you get sick of keychains and knock-off Ray Bans, you need to find it. Youssef was VERY friendly and the selection is breath-taking. He showed us the entire facility including the all important shipping room. (see pic) So much of what you are offered elsewhere is... Having read the reviews here about the Ethno Art Gallery and only by coincidence finding it, we decided to venture in. The first floor contained various pieces of artwork; paintings, sculpture, furniture, etc... We were amazed. Rachid, our salesman was very helpful and knowledgeable. Regardless of what we asked about, he could tell us about the creator, its period in... More

The place to find authenticity and quality items On our first trip in april 2008 we decided not to buy anything but after entering Etno Art Gallery we couldn't resist the magnificent carpets and tables. We were welcomed by Mr Chakib in a relaxed friendly way, sharing a tea, listening to his adequate explanation and without any hassle showing us... More

Within 2hours of landing in Marrakech I ventured out in to the souks of the medina. Like most westerners who value their personal space it was a culture shock of noise and souk sellers pressuring me in to buying from them by blocking my path & on many occaisions physically dragging me in to their stalls. It was all getting... More
