If it moves it's here - and more. Lucky to be here midpoint of the Annual Film Festival with huge screen and an audience of thousands standing to watch Morrocan film with English subtitles. Excellent! ! Rest of the sundown to late night events in square happen every evening and I remember any from early 70's and my student days... More

Amazing experience if not dampened by the heavy rain. It rained, nearly the whole day on 21 November and it was very cold as I only had a cardigan. Walked down the night food stalls and there were a few persistent vendors. They do not take No for an answer and asked WHY ! Learn to smile and say "No... More

The square is huge and it is pretty much the center of Marrakech social and economic life; or, at least, it was. The place has become rather touristic. It sure is not to be missed but do not expect too much, especially if you are used to travelling to other "more authentic" Islamic countries

On our first afternoon we found this a little overwhelming, so we sat in a cafe drank mint tea and watched! It was fascinating, exciting and not to be missed. It is worthwhile remembering what you give out you get back. As long as you treat everyone with respect, kindness and courtesy that is what you get back. We had... More

You will never find anything like it. It is busy and you need to be very careful to keep your bags in close surveillance. The souks are lovely and be very prepared to haggle. The food in the square are expensive and in my view not very authentic. Best to eat in restaurants just outside the square. Try to get... More

The small places Where You Can eat a very pushy to get You as your customer. The food is really Great and very cheap. In the day there are Monkeys and snakes as entertainment... More
