The hustle and bustle takes getting used to. Hot and humid it can be a challenge made even more demanding by the shop keepers trying to lure you to buy something. Colourful and noisy but worth a visit.

I would advise tourists to stay in Hivernage or Gueliz. The whole of the Medina (the Riads, the Souks, the people, the taxi drives), all of them will rip you off as much as they can. Some riads want to be paid in Euros at...More

One of the best medinas in Morocco, without any doubts, very crowded on some places but you can get the real Morocco feeling while here. The street food is very tasty, fresh drinks and lots of entertainment. Simply amazing.

This place is literally alive, everywhere you look or turn something is moving something is happening. We spent two days here before heading up to the high Atlas Mountains. I would recommend longer and also not travelling alone through here but in a group it...More

Spent about five hours in Medina, I hated it, people hassling you to buy stuffs, animals cruelty, dancer in street, we end up not buying anything as different princes for same thing, all overpriced because you're a foreigner. One thing you need to know if...More

When you think of Marrakesh you think of this place, it's magical in my eyes. Some find it over powering, the constant harassment of the locals trying to sell you anything they can. It can get annoying but it's part and parcel of the way...More

Spent an afternoon in the Medina. I know many people will like the atmosphere, we didn't. Far too hot, oppressive, hassled by traders, cyclists, scooters etc. Maps have no use at all, few street names in English. Pleased to have got out alive!

What an amazing place, full of people, food, music, the perfect place to feel Marrakesh. Be careful to not take pictures of any animals, it can cause many problems!

The market offers mostly low quality things in my opinion. However, you can find good food, rugs, fruits, etc. Honestly, I don't recommend spending too much money there. The market is best for hanging out for a few hours... More

Had bad experience eating there though at night stall. Really ripped off, forced to pay for inedible food we hadn't ordered expensive too. Better to eat in restaurants away from square, very good value. . Other than that had a fantastic time in the Medina square and souks.

I avoided eating at the smaller food stalls in the Media and ate at the various restaurants in the area. I enjoyed the food and when I traveled with my tour group we had no problems.
