We were recommended this herborist shop and weren't disappointed. Like all the shops in the souk, they of course want you buy, but I didn't feel they were unduly pushy. They... read more

This shop was on our way to our Riad so had to pass it every day. Had great chat every time we passed and on our last day went in. Fun and informal had a cup of tea poured from a great height! Bought orange blossom and rose oil and of course Argan oil. These people work long hours for... More

Don't be shy when the wonderful man who owns the shop comes and asks you to take a closer look at his treasures, it's an education and a feast for your eyes. The owner is a proud, educated man who is not remotely pushy in any way. He is very passionate about what he has to offer and so he... More

We also got the visit my brother/mother routine, looks legit, professional guy in white coat. Lots of conversation to build trust. Was quoted a low price for spices and when it came time to pay, I handed over the money and was told a totally different price. It was too late, they had my money. Got a minimum of change... More

Seriously, I visit Marrakesh to get spices, cosmetics, teas and small gifts when I travel. I have been to several and this place is the best. The prices are wonderful. The attention to the customer is outstanding, and there is a willingness to suit the product to your needs, not your needs to the product. One example: my husband was... More

We were recommended this herborist shop and weren't disappointed. Like all the shops in the souk, they of course want you buy, but I didn't feel they were unduly pushy. They were happy to show off their wares, while serving us the usual mint tea and I felt the prices were reasonable compared to other places I've been to. The... More

In Marrakesh you have to be always on your guard to avoid cheating, but this shop is the worst I met. They appear friendly, but talk so much and try to show you everything, that in the end you are totally confused. I later discovered that the items I bougt were totally overpriced and very bad quality, especially the saffron.... More

I loved Herboriste Des Amis spice and medicine shop in Marrakech. I was given excellent service and love the "Majorelle Blue" pigment I got there. It was authentic and I know that other shops will try to scam you with a fake pigment or crystals. I came home, put the pigment in water in a pretty bottle and now have... More

What a clean lovely little shop. Genuinness of spices (as in a lot of places in the city) - unsure. Staff very friendly and accommodating. Prices quite high. Worth a visit if you like spices and jars on shelves full of interesting things.

My daughter and I, at the end of our holiday, weary from the constant hassle from shopowners in the souks, had reached the stage of completely ignoring them. That was until a young man with a beautiful smile called out 'Jamie Oliver came to my shop'. It made us smile and as he said he had a photo, we said... More
