You're definitely not in Kansas (or Ohio, or Texas, or California) anymore! But once you realize that, you have a great opportunity to open your eyes and mind to the way many people in our world live, work and play. I will admit that our...More

Must use a guide. Can engage one easily from any hotel. The walk is amazing in all respects: the shops, the historical buildings, the view of the sea, restaurants, bars, and various eateries. Unique. One visit of about 1-2 hours should do it justice.

We got off the cruise ship and walked towards the new town and had a coffee. Not a lot to see. Camels on the beach yes. Walked back to the Medina. Harassed by beggars, harassed by sellers. I will say not as bad as Tunisia...More

The medina is swirling with small streets and different kind of architecture (mostly spanishand arabic). Easy to get lost but that is part of the charm - going downhill will eventually take you to harbour.

Majority of shop owners friendly, some of the street traders a bit pushy. Less threatening that other towns of it type in Eygpt, Tunisia etc. Easy to access from the port on foot, we walked most places. Great place if you are looking for a...More

The Medina has quite a few alleyways and shops. I was there with a guide. It's similar to other medinas in Morocco and the Middle East, but I still enjoyed seeing all the different stores and crafts.

Having never been to Tangier I was under the impression (mainly from comments) that the Medina was somehow a place to be ultra careful. Nonsense. It was a fantastic experience and an eye opener into the cosmopolitan world of Tangier. Not to be missed. Wonderful...More

Yes, it is not a very long walk...I'd say maybe 10 minutes, at most. Up hill. And you pass an interesting old fort on the way...we didn't have time to see the fort, unfortunately! But I'd agree with the first response: take... More

Hola, desde España puedes contratar perfectamente una visita de un día o más yendo con Ferry desde Algeciras. O bien pasar en ferry y buscar guía directamente en Tanger.
