You have never seen more hippos in your life. The ponds were filled with them and boy, do they smell. Worst of all, the smell never lessens. We were able to see a hippo fight which gave us a first hand look at how fast...More

You see hundreds of hippos. Nice view. A place to visit. If you look good you can also see the crocodiles sleeping.

Wonderful to see the Hippos frolicking in the limited waters but they do hum. Late winter rain has left the pools almost dry.

Very nice birdlife and herds arriving for watering. Visit in the morning and evening hours to get a chance to see hippos iutside the pool.

It amazing experience for wildlife if you seating there a while and see how the nature guiding everything animals, birds,reptiles....so peaceful see hippos and amazing to see on the nature and mixing with people near by the water....love it Africa. Anne

A quiet spot on the edge of the park where if allowed you could sit for hours and watch these huge animals wallowing in the pool

We find watching all kinds of wildlife, including these hippos in this big water with all of the odor, part of the serengeti experience. It is sad that some find it distracting because of the natural habits of these wild animals.
