The Kasbah square have witnessed important historical events way earlier than Hafsids. Their thumb print is present with the Abou Zakariah al Hafsi mosque. La Kasbah went through the Turk, Spanish, French and the current governments. In recent years the Arab spring has flourished here....More

This is a central location for coming and going from the medina. There are some gardens, but it's basically an area with the government building and some great possibilities for people watching, although I would prefer people watching on Avenue de France.
