The place is amazing. In short time you can learn so much and see all types of nature zones in Zim. One problem - no one toilet there

Must see National Botanic Gardens only 4 km North of Harare City Centre in the suburb of Alexandria and also houses the impressive National Herbarium of Zimbabwe. The gardens showcase indigenous plants from Zimbabwe's woodlands and include most of the 750 species found in the country. Other areas contain plants typical to the African continent including rare and endangered species,... More

My mum used to drag me round the gardens when I was younger and I remember it being more beautiful there were also more cacti which is what I wanted to see this time albeit more willingly! It is still a lovely place to get lost in but like a lot of places in Zim it needs a little TLC.... More

Okay, Okay, this is not exactly Kew or Kirstenbosch Gardens. Nonetheless - I have lived in Harare for the last four years and it has become a regular oasis of peace for me in the city. Like many places in Zim - It is easy to see that it was once more than it is now. The main ornamental lake... More

We went to the Botanical Gardens recently and it was a great experience. There are many beautiful trees and plants and lovely green lawn to have peaceful and relaxing a picnic. We then went to the restaurant and had drinks and the staff were efficient and pleasant.

Excellent bird watching with lots of different species around to watch in natural habitat. Plus trees named and the whole area set out with catering and car parking facilities.

A lovely place to walk and sit for a while to relax with some outstanding trees of great age. Also a great place to run early morning. Great to admire the surroundings and have time to unwind and relax. The weekends tend to get a little busy.
