As others mentioned already this place is hard to find. Even when I located this place I wanted to leave as I thought it was closed. Still gave it a shot and opened the gate myself. Upon entering the building I could buy a ticket and have a look at the various objects. This was very interesting, especially to also locate some Dutch rarities. The downside is that the museum is extremely small (only one room) and the explanations are short, albeit more than enough. Second remark is that not all items were numbered such that you had to find the right explanation yourself. All-in-all very much worth a visit!!…

It’s hard to find this small, out of the way museum, but worth the effort. Be sure to see the baptismal font just inside the front door. It was brought from Portugese in the 17th cent. and was found in a local garage filled with old motor oil.

All of the information is available in Portuguese and English, with some also in French. The items on display generally have no details/info attached to them, unfortunately, but this does make speculating fun. After getting through the nondescripting gate, you'll find a tranquil place to explore the history of several wrecks that sunk in cabe verdian waters. There would be definitely more to see, if the museum get's more funding. There's enough to learn for two hours, the entrance is on the university ground behind the Cabo Verde Archive.…

It's hard to find this place! Ave. de Cidade Lisboa is the wrong side to enter. Walk there from the beach side, the stadium is at your right and Look for a green house. It's behind it, marked with a Blue and white sign. If it appears closed just wait a minute for someone to let you in. Entry is free but you can leave a donation if you like. The exhibition is tiny but really interesting. It contains several pieces found in wrecks of old ships like silver coins, canons and cuttlery. It's worth a visit and you only need 30-45minutes to see everything. Signs and discriptions are available in potuguese, French and English. …
