Muya has top quality hand made Erhiopian products, We went back there a second time before going home to buy more. The owner, Sarah, is so helpful and charming. We had a tour which was incredible. Sarah started this business to help her community, and she is definitely doing that. It is a pleasure to support this company. I'll be... More

This is a great store to get souvenirs or even local to Ethiopia handicrafts. Going to the markets, I saw a lot of generic souvenirs that could have been from any souvenir market in Africa- you know, the type that seems made in China? Not at Muya, though. They have the most beautiful, delicate scarves I saw in Ethiopia in... More

I visited Muya PLC last week and found the textiles beautiful and the compound shady and inviting. They do not take credit cards. From the web site I thought they were fair trade, and in fact the workers are in rather comfortable surroundings but some of the weavers told me that they are paid very very low wages and they... The Muya workshop is a beautiful arrangement of a showroom and workrooms for traditional Ethiopian textiles and crafts. Even my Ethiopian coworkers compliment me on the scarves and furniture I have for them! Definitely the number one place to shop for high quality souvenirs to bring home to your family and friends!
