When in Addis you should visit this place

This is high above the city center. It offers forest, view and a training area for the world elite ethiopian runners. Go there in the morning

This church is not open and it is unclear about pricing. Read up on it first as limited knowledge and English with guides who were rude. It is only seen from the outside with a small museum and what is labeled as a palace (rustic, not furnished). nice view of the city

The palace of Emperor Menelik and Queen Titu is something that should be on the "must see" list of those visiting Addis Ababa. As others have said, it is a great place to get away from the "big city" feel for a few hours, and to explore some of Ethiopia's rich heritage. Regrettably, there is a "tow-tier" system in place... Calm, quite and historical place where Emperor Minilik built his palace and resided with the queen Empress Titu. Mount Entoto is the highest peak overlooking Addis Ababa and Saint Mary's church and a Museum is located there for which there is an entry fee - The natural scenery views around are impressive and beautiful. The mountain is densely covered by eucalyptus trees... A great place for every weekend to walk dogs and escape the city. Entoto is a breath of fresh air in this congested and dusty city, and offers stunning views. If you find the right route, you'll come to the edge of a cliff and can watch hyenas down below.

I liked the colour and round classical Ethiopian style of the exterior. The interior was closed. But the church is only part of the site. The old hill palace is slowly being preserved as it deserves. It has the style of a large stone exterior and wood and plaster interior country house of the 19th century. The view over the... More

I went with a tour guide and my husband and my three kids (10, 8, 6 years old) on a guided tour of this tourist attraction. Our guide was very well informed and gave us a good synopsis of the history of Ethiopia and this sight. It was very interesting and there were some historical items on display. It does... More

The museum is small but very instructive and the local guide was great. you cannot enter the church and the "palace" is very basic but the experience was great and good view (despite the heavy pollution) of Addis
