Be sure to obtain a local tour guide from the tourist office at the roadside shop above the convention center, hotel, and demonstration village. For 40 Rand (Malotti), a tour guide will give you the full story and tour of the founding MoeShoeShoe Kings I and II who are buried in a grave yard at the top of the mountain.... More

The hotel and conference centre are beautifully landscaped, and the cultural village is a must if you are interested in learning more about the Besotho people. It's a shame that tourism in Lesotho isn't being promoted much, given that the... More

If you would like to understand and know the history of Basotho you should visit this area of Lesotho. To be honest, I did not really enjoy my day there but it is just my personal experience.

Not sure what the rondavels are for but the view up on the plateau is very nice and give sense of peace. The last part of the hiking is steep but the rest of the path is totally ok

you learn about the history and living conditions of the bathotho people and can climb the mountain to see where the village was situated. there is a new path being built which is family friendly but at the present you need to be fit to reach the top
