This was a large museum that we visited in 2010 while Quadaffi was still in power. A large section was devoted to him and included his famous blue Volkswagon. I don't know what is there now. But there were other exhibits of fascinating stone carvings...More

one of the greatest museums i have ever seen. beautiful art in beautiful scenery unfortunatelly closed sine several months

A must see...to the shores of Tripoli. Great Roman artifacts, some interesting Americana dnf if course the Green Book. It'll probably be awhile before it's open for business but definitely worth the trip.

tried to get into this Museum in March 2013 and was told by security office next door that its closed for refurbishment. they seemed to think it would be closed for a few months but said they didnt really know
