However it was good browsing around the few shops that were open. Even bargaining they are a bit expensive as their tourists have dollars and euros but still spent an enjoyable hour wandering round the various crafts.

Waterfront are exciting places, but Mauritius sleeps early. Here not much street food or places to hang around. One big hotel, one office building, one casino, a shopping promenade and few ships at harbour. Good to stop once when passing through.

Very nice place with a cool breeze and Marina view. Loads of shops and eating joints there. The local crafts market was amazing, picked up loads of local souvenirs there. The food joints were OK. Liked the place. Nice to roam around and window shop

Very nice and taken care of area with shopping, food and a nice waterfront. Don't expect an amazing marina, more of a port really, but refreshing during hot afternoon.

We followed the advice of some people and visited Le Caudan Waterfront on Sunday. Sadly, the Penny Museum was closed but no regrets concerning the fact that most shops were also closed. Otherwise the advantage is clear: no traffic jams, no problem parking (and parking is even free on Sunday), no crowds. In contrast to shops, almost all the eateries... More
