It happen to be close by, and the owner of Hotel Namaacha advise us visit this small dam. Well, it was around 40º C....quite refreshing !!! Nobody bothers you, also, if you can buy local handycraft.

There is nothing much to do at barragens. You can go and sit to enjoy the fresh air and enjoy the scenes. You are not allowed to do picknick, drink or eat there.

when you are looking for some nature outside the busy Maputo, then this is one place to go. However travelling on Saturdays is a bad idea since the road to Matola is too busy.

it has a nice view. However the gate guards want bribes to let you in and make all sorts of excuses.

Its a Dam, so don't expect fireworks. But just round the corner from it is a restaurant in the Italian Complex which makes for a great outing for lunch with friends and family. Its a nice drive to get there.

a lot of water in a semi-barron area outside of Maputo. An escape for Maputo people but not really anything of note for a tourist visiting Mozambique

Nice place to visit during your visit in Maputo. Being a Tourist or a Businessman, it a place to go. Very picturial and greatly appreciated by foreigners and expacts. It is place to open your eye ball. Take a pici nic with you and enjoy.
