Much cleaner than it was

This area has a stunning stretch of beach. I was here in 2015 and it was quite dirty but things have improved and it is now a good place to walk or swim. I would be a bit more... read more

sadly now dirty and lonley. No one takes care of this place. You can imagine that it was once a nice place. But due to all crisis , War and Ebola, there are not many nice places to visit.

Walk, jog, run, or cruise from a vehicle on the beach locale which offers a boardwalk style beach experience. Plenty of places to eat, party, and lounge on the Aberdeen beach front strip

As my experience in Freetown and whole of Sierra Leone is beyond words, I always connect to Aberdeen Bridge as this was the gateway to the city of Freetown.. The day I reached and the day i left.

This area has a stunning stretch of beach. I was here in 2015 and it was quite dirty but things have improved and it is now a good place to walk or swim. I would be a bit more wary about walking along here at night on my own as there tend to be quite large groups of young men... More

Aberdeen is a beautiful coastal section of Freetown. I was told prior to Ebola, the coastline was full of shops, restaurants, and bars. But during Ebola, all business were shut down. Post Ebola, the Chinese have taken advantage and have started to develop high-end hotels and homes. It will be sad if the national cannot enjoy their own beautiful beachfront.

Aberdeen is a nice place to relax after a hard days work. where you feel the sea breeze sipping a glass of wine or a bottle of beer and listen to soft music...depending on the time of the day.

I was staying in Aberdeen. It's a nice place to stay... Very near to lumbi beach. It's a very nice location and a kind of corner of Freetown. On weekends this place is totally full with locals.

This place is worth visiting as it shows full grand of Atlantic ocean and the beach. Of course, it is not developed and without bathrooms but there's a few beach bars that can provide enough beer.

If you want deserted beach, this is a good one. Restricted access means no crowds. Follow signs to Tribewanted.
