This is a place that is rarely considered, or seldomly recognized for its cultural and heritage importance in society or country. This places is rich in the history of Uganda as a country, from the time that Uganda was not even Uganda But a place on the African continent. Then comes the time that Africa is finally demarcated and separated... More

Had the great pleasure to visit this museum last Tuesday whilst on holiday in Kampala. It was such a great shame that we couldn't stay for much longer as we had some business to sort out at the nearby UK High Commission. The timeline of exhibits depicting the life, culture and wildlife of this beautiful Country from the very early... More

Uganda Museum definitely has a unique collection some of which relates to the origins of human civilisation and early political history in Uganda. There is evidence of effort to preserve these irreplaceable antiques. The staff are quite knowledgeable and helpful to the core. Sometimes you will find school going kids visiting the Museum and most weekends you will find music... More

It has good traditional and heritage exhibits that need to be better show cased. More themes also need to be added.

I usually enjoy museums but this one was really boring and uninspiring. Many windows were empty or dirty, also some didn't even have light. You can go through the whole museum in less than an hour and in some corners there was trash laying around
