Yak holidays Int’l established in 2003, we are a travel company licensed by the Tourism Council of Bhutan, an autonomous body which oversees the tourism industry. The company is a member of the Association of Bhutanese Tour Operators. I booked a 7 day holiday with Yak Holidays for my boyfriend and I through Nakita. It was an absolute value for money as we included Thimpu- Gangtey- Punakha and Paro. With Paro we also received a trek to Bumdra which I had stressed upon while booking the package.
Nakita helped us with flights and permits as well. And even helped me sort permit with my voter ID. She was very responsible and responsive with timelines and I never had to follow up on anything.
The process was absolutely smooth.
Our guide, Pasang and driver, Ram were also very pleasant and knowledgeable. Pasang knew everything from culture to botany to history.. every small detail. She even showed us new fruits and produce that we had never seen in India. Ram was also such a gentleman through out. They were sweet to even make last minute changes to the itinerary since we experienced museum fatigue after a while. They'd take us on hikes and riverside to just slow down and unwind which could've otherwise been a very hectic trip.
We even took blood sausage and pork from the local market and cooked in the hotel's kitchen with the guide and staff which was such a great experience.
I would recommend that you speak to Nakita about your travelling style and preference before fixing an itinerary. What may have worked for us, may not work for you.
I would really recommend people to book their travels through Yak Holidays and keep an open mind 💖🌻

We engaged Yak holiday for a 7 days culture tour after doing many researches and discover Yak holiday.
Mr Sithar response were fast to all our enquires and was very patience and informative during our planning period. He tried his best to accommodate our custom make itinerary and the price quote to our trip was very reasonable. He also get our guide Mr Thiley to help make special arrangement for prayer session at our request. Our driver Rum was a very skillful driver and helpful too.
On our 2nd last day we had issue with our choice of hotel and Mr Sithar immediately booked for us a very good hotel and even offer to pay the cancellation fee for one night.
We highly recommend Yak holiday to anyone who wish to visit Bhutan. Yak holiday is a good company with good reputation because of this boss. Mr Sithar is a honest, responsible and a great man with a big heart. We like to thank Mr Sithar and his team for a very memorable trip.

Yak Holidays did an amazing job organizing a 12-day trip that included everything I wanted to see and do, and on very short notice. They deserve 10 stars out of 5. Sithar was super-responsive to all my emails, quickly answered my questions, and accommodated every request. My guide, Tsewang, was phenomenal. We spent 12 days together and from the moment he picked me up at the airport until he dropped me off, it was pure pleasure. He is extremely knowledgeable as well as flexible in adjusting the itinerary to my specific interests. My trip also included a challenging (for me) 5-day Druk path trek and Tsewang and the rest of the crew took excellent care of me throughout. All the hotels were top notch as well. Bhutan is a very special place I highly recommend going there with Yak Holidays.

We booked a 10-day tour of Bhutan through Yak holidays primarily on the basis of positive reviews from other travellers. We were initially a little nervous sending a large sum of money to a Bhutanese company with no back up but dealings with the owner Mr Sithar were excellent from the very beginning. Unlike some companies he is very open about costs and also very flexible in terms of route planning. He also returned promptly with any queries raised and as we were dealing direct with a Bhutanese company without middlemen taking their share of profit his prices were very competitive.
We have now completed our 10-day tour and we were delighted with the result. The guide Thuks and driver Mr Damcho looked after us perfectly. The cars used were very good and clean and we are happy to endorse this company for anyone thinking of going to Bhutan. It is a magical unique place.

This was an exceptional tour. Firstly, Mr. Sithar was extremely efficient in advance of our tour. He was communicative, built a great itinerary for us, answered any questions we had and successfully got us the visas we needed without hassle. The experience was seamless so thank you Mr. Sithar.
Upon arrival we were greeted by our guide, Karma Jigyel, and our driver, Prakash. They accompanied us everywhere and made a really great team. It felt like the four of us were old friends and we had a lot of fun and laughs in the car. Karma was extremely knowledgeable, enthusiastic and friendly. He was never without a smile and provided us with all the information we needed and more besides. We are extremely grateful and we got some unforgettable memories from the trip (including an early morning hike of Tigers Nest). Prakash is an exceptional driver. We always felt safe and comfortable in his car. He let us play him some native music on Spotify on the longer drives and he's just one of the kindest, most smiley people you will ever meet. We couldn't have been more pleased to have had Prakash as our driver.
Finally, Bhutan is an absolutely fascinating country, unlike anywhere we have ever visited. We definitely recommend visiting and booking through Yak Holidays!

My mother and I recently traveled to Bhutan with Yak Holidays, and it was an amazing experience. Our guide, Melan, was incredibly kind friendly, offering great insights into Bhutanese culture. Our driver, Sonam, was also excellent— we always felt very safe, especially on the mountain roads.
The trip was well-organized, with a good balance of sightseeing and cultural experiences and we felt well taken care of throughout.
We highly recommend this tour company for anyone looking to explore Bhutan. A big thank you to Melan, Sonam, and Sithar for making our trip so memorable!

Yak holidays organized a wonderful tour for 2 or us - twin share with my good friend, we had a private guide and driver. Our tour was well organized to maximize our time and visit all the key sites, and hike up Tigers Nest at the end. Highly recommend a small private tour as there is a fair bit of driving up and over mountains and we could stop at our leisure to see extra viewpoints etc. Very safe, comfortable and informative. Our guide and driver were excellent. Yak holidays organized our flights, accom, meals, visas, insurance all in the tour price and detailed info for our visit.

The communication with Mr Sithar of Yak Holidays was smooth from the start. He always responded quickly and found ways to accommodate our personal requests about tailoring the itinerary with valuable suggestions. We had the best guide and driver (Mr Chorten and Mr Dawa), and thoroughly enjoyed our time in this beautiful country. The Guide and driver were very attentive to our needs and always allowed us to take our time at each site. I'd highly recommended this company and their services.

It was my first time traveling to Bhutan, so I sent emails to several travel agencies in Bhutan and chose Yak Holidays Int’l, which responded quickly and transparently disclosed travel costs.
The choice was right and I am grateful to Mayor Shitar for kindly responding to my troublesome questions.
And I would like to thank Khrma, the kind guide, and Dorji, the best driver, who accompanied us for 6 nights and 7 days(14,sep~21,sep).
The smart guide Khrma always provide detailed explanations about the history and religion of the temple.

Our trip to Bhutan was absolutely brilliant! Right from the coordination and providing information , Yak international was very quick in responding with clear information.
They guided us with all the documentation and booking process, which was very useful.
The itinerary was really well-made covering diverse sightseeing places and a taste of the Bhutanese culture, heritage and their food. We were taken to beautiful locations and the hotels where we stayed were absolutely stunning.
I would highly recommend this travel agent . Wish everybody makes one trip to Bhutan because it’s a perspective which you don’t get to see in this world today & it has enriched our world.
