Quiet and beautiful, Begnas Lake is a great place to spend a couple of days walking around, chilling and enjoying Nepalese nature. It feels worlds away from Pokhara and was probably like Fewa Tal thirty years ago. You can take an hour's bus from Lakeside...More

Begnas Taal was definitely a good choice despite the long ride for escaping the lakeside and its crowd. It's more quiet and less crowded.

Same as Fewa Lake with the colorful boats .. bit of a drive to get there .. something to do if you are really bored .. good thing , far less tourists!

could be beautiful but ruined by rubbish strewn everywhere and I wanted to swim but the water did not look too good as I suspect the hotels pour their sewage in there as there is no where else for it to go.

Like so many attractions in Asia, especially lakes, I'm thinking China, Laos, Nepal.....yes the lakes are nice but for the most part they don't come close to equaling the middle range of what you see in the US, Canada or Europe.

Begnas and Rupa lakes are close and more natural and less polluted than Fewa. You can touch nature from very close, fantastic land scape and greenary.
