Its an amazing place where you get to see & learn about butterflies of different species. The first time I went there was about 23 years ago. The old foreign "Butterfly Man" is still there!

I visited this museum after nearly 20 years and It still free to visit!! It's well maintained and is very informative. The butterfly collection is the gem of this museum. You can spend whole day looking at different types of butterflies found in Nepal. Hats off to Mr Colin Smith (aka Mr Butterfly and Butterfly Baje in Nepali) who dedicated... More

Located inside the biggest university of the city. There is a large cooection of butterflies and also other insects. They are well preserved, unlike so many other artifacts in Pokhara Regional Museum!

Nepal's butterflies are huge and they have a wide variety of amazing colors. Though I have not been to the museum itself, I had the rare opportunity to travel on bus with one of the founders/contributors to the museum, a foreign expat expert on butterflies. Unfortunately I forgot his name, but he was a very charming old lad with amazing... More
