Great craft options and interesting area

Lots of different crafts are sold in the stalls and the whole area is fun to wander around and people watch.

Xiamen red house has many handmade products in the weekend. There are many restaurants and coffeehouse near Ximen red house. It's a must go place for tourists.

Part of this building is under renovation but some shops are still open. They sell souvenirs, handicrafts and art stuff. There are some gay pubs behind the building.

It's not a place I would recommend if it require dedicate travel to. Luckily close to the metro and Ximending so we pop by. A lot of nice handicrafts shops and that's about it. It's so not special that I didn't even take a picture of it.

Part of the building is on renovation. So there are only a few small shops selling artsy souvenirs and unique tshirts. If you enjoy art and happen to be at Ximending, there is no reason not to go.

This building is nothing extraordinary - just an old building housing many little boutiques on the ground floor. The building is currently shrouded with construction veil so maybe they are renovating but we did not see anything of any interest to us architechtually or historically. The Ximen Red House is one block away from the pedestrianized shopping street of Ximen.

We went on 9/12/2016; hence did not get to see the crowd when the building is celebrating its 108 YO birthday. It is still under renovation even though the next day is its bday celebration. Took a walk around the building and saw some interesting shops and pubs. There are shopping area inside the building selling local art and craft... More

This is a shopping arcade for shopping parlour. But don't expect you can purchase cheaper than your origin country. Most people even locals come to this place for window shopping. You still can enjoy your local delicacies at this tourist spot.

Really nice chill out place after a long day of touring and eating. The place is just beside the main shopping street in XiMenDing. You can see the entrance from XiMen exit 6. Lotsa of sit down pub for a nice cold beer

Thank Vinson O
