Wide variety of animals in the zoo with the pandas being the most popular. Zoo is rather big so be prepared to walk for at least 3-4 hours.

Location wise it's perfect as you can reach Zoo by MRT very conveniently. It's a very well maintained Zoo with star attraction is Giant Pandas. Entry ticket is also decent. One thing I like his place is the natural habitat created for animals and it does not give the cage type feeling. Lot of greenery created inside the animal habitat... More

Well first of all I would rate this Taipei Zoo 5 stars compared to other zoos I've been to but due to the concept of captivation and locking of these sentient creatures I will give it 4 stars. I'm such a hypocrite as I availed this zoo and therefore subscribed to what they are doing or achieving. In any case... More

This zoo is too big and you need a least 4 hours to see the animal. But you can travel it very relax because alot of rest area like chairs, convenient shop is available, and it only cost TWD 60 to enter the zoo, very worth to visit it ! But dont go on winter, 80% of the animal is... More

This zoo is huge and uphill, recommend to take gondola up to maokong for the scenery and stop at the zoo on the way down Went on a hot day ,not very shady and if it rains not many shelters . Recommend MCD if you are hungry

This is like one of the most affordable yet comprehensive zoo I've visited so far. I just won't get bored no matter how many times I've been there. It's good enough for a stroll or picnic or photoshoot or simply some quality family time. Best thing? Local born (not so) baby panda!

I went with a friend after the trip of Maokong Gondola, it was the biggest zoo of the region. It was quite big for a city size and had quite a lot of animals. Even though the weather wasn't great, it was quite an experience. There wasn't a lot of people and there are different animals. Ticketing is quite easy,... More

Not to the same level is the Singapore zoo but still an excellent place to visit and very cheap, only around $2 US entry. Don't bother to bring food or drinks as they are everywhere inside the park and. Dry cheap. Some of the older enclosures are dated and not that nice for the animals but newer ones are good.
