Great market with cut flowers, potted flowers, bonsai, gardening accessories, organic produce, tea products etc. Very interesting.  Seems to have more flower varieties now in March than when I came in December period.  You could allocate up to 2 hours. Since we can't buy potted plants or flowers back, so we just bought stuff like small figurines and deco for plants,... The Jianguo weekend market under the highway alongside Daan Park is a great experience. Actually three markets spread under the freeway. The longest is plants, flowers, garden supplies and like a garden show. At one end, the Jade market picks up, at the other, an arts market. All are great fun and good for people watching. Daan Park metro stop... More

This is one of the largest jade markets in all of Asia. There are nearly 600 stands . It is a really fun place t go , with isles and isles of jade ...lots of bargaining and wonderful for gifts. The display tables that line both sides of the market are arranged with bracelets, rings, necklaces, earrings, animal carvings, ornamental... More

This is one of our favourite activities when we visit Taipei. Do note that the market is only open on weekdays, and is best accessed via the Daan Forest metro station. Here you can find a wide variety of seasonal flowers, herbs and plants, as well as the pots, seeds and soils that you need. We especially enjoy looking at... More

This is a wonderful market! Clean and spacious and well lit despite being crowded. This is perhaps one of the best, large, temporary market places in the world. The only thing missing is food although there are plenty of herbs for any type of garden; window sill or otherwise. The plants and flowers take up about two thirds of the... More

Visited this market which was under a bridge. Part of it is a floral & plants market, many type of plants, tools for gardening, found some orchids species there. Is a relaxing and enjoying walk. We also walked to the jade market, selling jade, beads, stones, woods and old things. Genuine or not, we do not know, for a walk... More

This is one place I always go to when I visit Taipei ... even if it is to browse. Mostly cash transactions.

This is a fascinating place to visit (along with the flower market) but buyer beware. There are many beautiful things to buy, but you better know your jade from imitation and you really need to speak Mandarin to bargain. However, there is still a lot to see and a lot to buy even if you are just a regular tourist.... More

It was interesting to visit a weekend market that located in a car park under the express way. There were hundreds of flower kinds which were brightly colourful. Price was cheap and location was great, quite close to Daan Park.

The jade market has hundreds of vendors offering different jewelry and other artifacts made of jade and other material. It's fascinating to see the artistic work put into these things. However be very careful when considering buying things as some are fake and/or heavily manipulated to look real. We were offered a piece of jewelry for several thousand NT$ and... More
