If you have spare time after your visit to the National Palace Museum and need to get away from the crowds, this is a nice and quiet walk. It's nothing spectacular and I would say a very average garden. Nothing much to see but just a relaxing walk.

The garden features several ponds with swans and ducks, a beautiful local architecture and lovely paths for an easy walk through it. Very few tourists ever get here, which is refreshing, as the garden is never crowded. Give yourself at least 30 minutes for a slow... More

When you visit National Park Museum don't miss this nearby Park. It's included in the ticket of the museum and is really relaxing and beautiful.

I inquired and found out it was the Zhishan Garden and admission was free because we had bought tickets to the National Palace Museum. The garden... More

Tucked on the right side of the National Palace Museum , this garden is a welcome addition to the Museum complex. While some would probably dismiss the place as just another Chinese Garden , one would miss the beautiful layout of the garden complimenting the topography of the area. For a small fee , bring coins, NTW20, they dont have... More

From the throngs of tourists that arrive daily to visit the National Palace Museum, it would appear that only a few people get to visit Zhishan Garden. This is both a boon and a pity at the same time - a boon that your peace and quiet is not disturbed but a pity that so few people know about Zhishan... More
