Huge place. Only touched the surface.

Caught the bus to Yangminshan from Beitou MRT. It was very cheap and a nice journey, a bit of a bone shaker on the windy mountain roads. We didn't realise how huge this place... read more

If you enjoy hiking, this is the place for you. With multiple scenic spots listed, it is about 2km hike for each spot from the bus stops. Recommend the entire day trip. For us, we hopped through the spots via 108, and only managed to complete LengShuiKeng, view the Milk Pond, and get a foot soak there...we planned and gave... More

Caught the bus to Yangminshan from Beitou MRT. It was very cheap and a nice journey, a bit of a bone shaker on the windy mountain roads. We didn't realise how huge this place is. There is a shuttle bus that loops the park but we didn't have time to see a lot. We dipped our toes in the hot... More

The park might be poorly guided but there are many trails and points of view that are well worth visiting. It is obvious that the parks funding has been neglected in recent years, all the same focusing on the nature it provides a great view of the local greenery. There is also viewpoint of the volcanic activity. It may not... More

Yangmingshan National Park offers a variety of trails. One of my favorite is the main peak and east peak trails of Qixing Mountain (七星山). For foreigners who would like to visit there, public transportation is accessible and affordable (metro plus bus). The trail to the main peak and east peak are connected. It'll take approximately three and a half hours.... More

In summer, the temperature is always high.If you live in the city, you must feel very hot. To go hiking in the mountain is a good choice. You not only can feel the cool temperature, but also can release your stress. That’s why I recommend you can go to Yangmingshan National Park. Three years ago, this was the first time I went to... More

I took a hike up to the highest point of Yang Ming Shan called Seven star (qixing) mountain. it was steep 2.4km up via the maipu trail head. needs lots of stamina and determination. but worth the climb. followed by walking towards Lengshuikeng.

There were many tracks to hike in the park with clear signs and maps. I took the trails to waterfall and then headed to Lengshuikeng where I took a rest before heading back to the main bus station. The track was well paved with scenic view and fresh air. A lot of Taiwanese enjoyed hiking at Yangmingshan and I was... More

Yangmingshan is a cool relief from the miasma of Taipei's summer. The green mountain is a good place for "pa shan," which Chinese people call "mountain climbing" and Westerners would call "hiking." It's good for restorng your "chi" or psychic energy.
