Just on the other side of Chatuchak market location there is this Or Tor Kor market and primarily sells fruits. We were for one specific goal: to buy and eat durian. The market is clean and I believe they clean it every night. Here you find any fruit you can ever imagine. For us, is the Durian. The prices here... More

First of all we loved the layout, it is clean and airy and the walkways are wide. It's easy to navigate and there are fans to keep you cool. As far as being in a market goes, this one is the most comfortable to visit by far! The quality of fruit we bought is hard to determine because I believe... More

This market is easily accessible from the city via the MRT (Khampaeng Phet station). Came here in the morning (first visit ever) for breakfast and boy, was I surprised! It is super clean, bright and airy. The high roof certainly helps! The fruit here is not particularly cheap - but definitely high quality. I paid 500 baht (!!) for a... More

I found the price a bit high compared to outside. But it's a nice and tidy market to walk and get a sense of local produce. We had lunch in the food court. Don't forget to visit the Royal Project shop outside the market... they have nice (and air-conditioned) cafe where you can taste the Thai coffee and buy some... More

This has been a must-go-to-place during our visits to Bangkok for the past 5 years or so. Though it's a bit out of the city center (opposite Chatuchak and 20 minutes by taxi), we come here to eat our favorite Thai food at very low prices compared to restaurant prices. It's very clean and colorful, bright and airy. Best local... More

I'm in Bangkok for almost a decade and been to JJ market for million times but never step to this place before. To buy the royal project products, Or Tot Kor market is the nearest spot I can get so I came here. OMGGGGG!!!!! Only the first 5 minutes I spent already THB600 for fried Plasalid(Snake skin gourami). This place... More

Easy access from MRT. Stalls are organized, clean, well sanitized. All market items look fresh--meat, seafood, fruits, vegetables. Impressed with large grapes and cherries. Wide selection of dried fruits, packaged in different sizes, same price as MBK. I missed the food vendors. They were closed by 4 pm.

On a visit to chatuchak, we came across Or Tor Kor quite by accident! It has a wide and varied combination of fresh produce of meat, fish, preserves, veges, fruit and a section dedicated to cooked food. A must try would be the BBQ pork stall and also the satay! A hidden gem!

While it's nice to look at the prices are throughout 50-100% higher than in other markets. A bit overrated attraction here , you can have the same experience and equally great food anywhere else.

Staying in Chatuchak

Neighbourhood Profile
Chatuchak
Every weekend, thousands of tourists make their way up to this Northern Bangkok suburb to get lost in an enormous maze of shops at the Chatuchak Weekend Market. Home to almost 10,000 vendors, you’ll find everything from vintage sneakers to comic books and Thai handicrafts being sold here. You name it, Chatuchack probably sells it. The market is a great place to pick up souvenirs, but be sure to bargain for a good price. After a day of shopping and strolling around, the lush green lanes of Chatuchak Park are a welcome relief.
