Our teacher was Nam (Thai for Water) who was very informative, funny and showed off some impressive skills. Jam packed with information including ingredient substitutes for some elements which are not available within each student's home countries. Includes a beautiful cook book with all the...More

This activity was great fun from start to finish! You have to sit at the entrance to the alley, don't go in, because first they pick you up and take you to the market where Joo shows you all the foods she will buy for...More

Started at 8:45am at the meeting point on Soi 11 after our quick breakfast (don't eat too much beforehand) and first off Mr Jay gave us a tour in the wet market across the road. He detailed explained all sort of local ingredients and impressively...More

I had a great afternoon cooking with our guest chef, Goong. The wet market was closed, but she showed us some of the common ingredients in Thai cooking. We went back to the school and spent a few hours cooking some great Thai food. The...More

You would never find the Silom Cooking School without their directions, so well hidden is this culinary gem. Superb presentation of ingredients, the right mixture of information and some hands-on chopping and cutting, Kai, a teacher/chef with a great smile and even better sense of...More

I would highly recommend this experience. Well worth the money you pay. (Of which I compared prices from a few cooking schools, this was half the price of some other ones). We registered with a group of four, two married couples. In our class there...More

Despite the lack of any major tourist attractions,
this lively neighborhood is a favorite of many.
Whether it's the (somewhat naughty) nightlife of Soi
Patpong, the various handicraft night markets or the
plethora of dining options that tickle your fancy, a
night out in Silom is a must on every itinerary. It's
worth a stop during daytime, too: join office workers
on a quest to tasty street food during lunch and shop

We met on a street corner near the school. I do not recall the street name. We took a tuktuk to the market & school. I would not consider this event to have a lot of walking. You do have to sit on the floor for some of the... More
