I am not sure how I never visited this place before. Das has a huge selection of books and a database that can be accessed online that is updated regularly. All titles are organized by genre and author. The shop has a generous book buy back program and seems to pay fair prices for those who wish to get rid... More

Too bad the books I really wanted are sold out. Still I can find other books to buy and they are still in very good conditions. The store is calm and quiet. There are chairs provided so you can spend time conveniently to browse and read at a glance of their collections.

Dasa's has 2nd hand books on 3 storys. It's a nicely sorted collection and you must be very unlucky if you don't find what you are looking for

As per title, yes, i love the smell of old book. Every time i come to Dasa, i always buy something...at least 4-5 books. After read, i return and get some credit for further purchasing. Their system is quite well-organized and the staffs are super friendly and helpful. The shop got massive range of books; lots of fiction, classics, thriller,... More

I have been frequenting Dasa for several years now and look forward to when I run out of reading matter so I can pop back again. Reasonable prices, great selection of titles on 3 floors, coffee on the ground floor. Also a "book readers" atmosphere about the place, convenient to find, open every day, friendly staff. Who could ask for... More

I read a lot and grabbed two books from home prior to heading out to SEA. Unfortunately, one of the books I grabbed I had already read. I was planning to swap it along the way at a guest house but I didn't find anything interesting. Then I thought I would grab a book at the airport in Phuket. Super... More

I read about this place and went looking for it. It's a small place filled with stories! They have 3 floors of books and serve good coffee as well. I bought a book, had a coffee and stayed to read in my book. Love it!

I was in Bangkok and realised I'd left my lonely planet on the plane! I needed to find a shop that sold English written books and I came across this little place. Actually it's not that little! It has 3 floors full of books of different subjects. Lots of travel books and novels which you can buy for a very... More

I think this bookstore should be interesting to those travelers/tourists who simply want to browse the whole range of various famous or fledging writers for some good books to console themselves in the sun or somewhere relaxing. Disappointed by the disapperance of the stores like 'Shaman' or 'Aporia' on Khaosan Road, I usually visit this haven instead due to its... More

It's a must visit place for book lovers. They have a great collection of books with cheap prices and the books are in really great conditions. I'm glad I found this place over the internet while I searched for bookstores in Bangkok.

Staying in Sukhumvit

Neighbourhood Profile
Sukhumvit
With a mix of shopping malls, hip bars and food stalls lining both sides of Thailand’s longest road, you’ll rarely encounter a dull moment along Sukhumvit. While the main road itself doesn't offer a lot in terms of entertainment, it's the adjoining 'sois' (alleys) where the magic happens. Popular spots are soi 11 for a lively night out, soi 4 for naughty nightlife and soi 21 for world-class shopping at Terminal 21. It's hard to cover everything this area has to offer in on day, so be sure to take your time. Sukhumvit is heavily congested with traffic during day and night, so getting from A to B is most convenient using the BTS Skytrain right above it.
