About
The Oriental Spa, which opened as the first city spa in Bangkok, has received numerous awards including being the only spa in Bangkok to have been awarded 5-star by Forbes. A temple of wellbeing, set in a restored century-old teakwood house, The Oriental Spa is an oasis of peace and tranquillity. Guests can discover a range of unique treatments blending traditional Thai and modern Western techniques in private rooms and suites. Guests begin their experience with a short boat ride to the Spa, which is located across the river from the hotel. They are welcomed with a cooling tea and then enjoy a private consultation that allows the therapist to tailor treatments to guests’ individual needs.

I really expected to be blown away at this Iconic Hotels spa. My experience was just Ok. Prices are not cheap as expected but the experience really wasn’t lavish or the massage exceptional. I’m comparing it to other hotel spas and massages I had while in Thailand. If I knew I would have saved the money I spent at the spa and high tea instead. That is exceptional and very with the money for the experience.

I had a 90 minute deep tissue massage at the Oriental Spa and it was phenomenal. The spa is beautiful, the staff are kind, and the post-treatment treats were delightful. But most importantly, my normally tight muscles felt such relief for many days after.

This signature spa service & massage is the best! Thank you Ms Ngan Thanh Thi Le for clear walking directions from Icon Siam. One tip: take the hotel’s rice barge across Chao Praya to/from the Spa, it’s free even if you aren’t a guest staying in the hotel.

Spending an afternoon at The Oriental Spa at Mandarin Oriental Bangkok was an absolute delight. The moment I walked through the doors, I was immediately struck by the peaceful and serene atmosphere. The spa staff were incredibly welcoming and attentive, and I was quickly whisked away to a private changing room where I could get ready for my treatments.
As I made my way to the treatment room, I couldn't help but be impressed by the stunning decor and ambiance. The spa is designed to be a true oasis of relaxation and rejuvenation, and it definitely succeeded in delivering on that promise.
The massage I received was absolutely heavenly. The therapist was skilled and attentive, and I left feeling completely relaxed and rejuvenated. After my massage, I had the opportunity to enjoy some time in the steam room and sauna, which were both incredibly inviting and helped to further enhance my relaxation.
Overall, my afternoon at The Oriental Spa at Mandarin Oriental Bangkok was an absolute dream. The spa is truly a luxurious and peaceful retreat, and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking to escape the hustle and bustle of the city and indulge in some much-needed self-care.

Pedicure for men with Guillaume at Bastien Gonzalez at the Oriental Spa. Combination of foot Massage, pedicure and medical foot treatment is a delight. Was impressed by Guillaumes expertise and skilful handling. Truly worth the money - you walk away with new feet.

Full disclosure. I didnt even go here. I tried to book on their website for my wife and I. The booking categories do not match the brochure on the website. Tried to book a traditional thai massage that was not on the list. So I tried to book another one that was available on the list. Then I was told it was available for one guest and not the other. So I gave up. In this day and age, you need a better website. You lost business today because of it.

I have been many time and still going here. My favorite therapists are Noom he talented not only with technic but also with feeling and energy . He understand client body . Manager of Spa is very kind and professional. Any time she ready to answer by email and manage my booking . Every room have own steam sauna . I like it. Not every hotel in Bangkok have it . Room facilities and vibe are perfect.

Today was my fourth visit to MO Spa. This is indeed a luxurious and exquisite place. I had a facial and a foot treatment; very unique foot massage, I've never experienced anything so special in my one year of living in Thailand. Facial was wonderful, they used the best products on my skin. I very much enjoyed it.

I chose this spa to spend the morning of my 30th birthday, a special day for me. I purchased a voucher at Siam Paragon, lured in with their Sales pitch of the spa being the only Forbes 5 star in Bangkok, and made the booking on the spot for my birthday. I told them I was celebrating my birthday on the day of the spa booking, and I heard the person tell the hotel, while making my booking, that I would be celebrating my 30th birthday. I never recieved a confirmation call or email prior to my booking, so the evening before I emailed just to confirm. They emailed back to confirm, and told me to bring my voucher.
I arrived at the Mandarin hotel, and asked where the spa was. The person at the door pointed and said its 'across' and told me to go left and left again. I walked but was confused as I only saw the water. Another staff member then told me the spa is across the river and I would need to take their boat. This was not told to me during the bookijt process, during the confirmation process, or when I walked in to the hotel.
Upon arriving into the spa, there was no one there, so I was confused where to go. I waited over 1 minute walking around until a staff member came out. The massage itself was good. After finishing, they brought me to the lounge, which had empty/dirty cups and trays everywhere, even though there was only 1 person sitting. The therapist gave me my tea, thanked me and left, not telling me where to go next etc.
I went back down to the main floor and there was confusion about my bill etc. They had to ask me my name and then go check the status. I then left after everything was settled. Not once did anyone mention my birthday. Not once did anyone even ask how I was doing. The service was cold and and only surface level friendly. For the amount I paid for that voucher, I could have recieved the same service for less than half the price.
This is not Forbes 5 star service by any means, and I do not recommend this spa for the prices it offers.

No surprise why they are the best of the world (The Forbes Magazine). I had tried the spa from many places Bangkok and many cities around the world but I were most impressed of the services and facilities here. The facilities are gorgeous beautiful gold teak wood house nicely done decorated. The best of all are the service from receptionists thru the therapist (Miss Chanida), who were so polite and expert in providing my best aroma therapy massage ever. 10 out the 10 Bravo!! We shall be back again soon. <3 <3

In addition to the street type cheap Thai massages, I want to experience a luxury spa. Would you recommend this as being the best in Bangkok?
Also before and after the treatments are there facilities to steam, sauna, whirlpool etc? Are any of them co ed?
Your answers are much appreciated xoxo
