This is a well known historic building in Bangkok which soon will be outperformed by the new bigger and perhaps better station being built near Chatuchak market. In general, staff are pleasant and able to deal with English speakers. Here you might feel nostalgic, going...More

As far as train stations in Thailand go, this is pretty good. There is a bag drop area for securing luggage during the day, there is a food court (although near by restaurants may be a better option), toilets, and shower fatalities. Showers were cheap,...More

No point visiting the train station unless you intend to travel by train. Buying a ticket is easy as some of the staff understand English. The building is old, run down and nothing of interest to see.

Another visit here - this time on way to Chiang Mai. We first arrived a few hours before our train so left our luggage in the left luggage office and went through the underground to 12goAsia, from whom we had purchased our sleeper tickets online...More

Actually a nice station. But rats running around inside food stations. The food is way worse than street food stalls. Food is worse than any train station I've been to. Upstairs on one side is empty, other side is Black Canyon. Thieves just waiting for...More

We dropped our bags in the 'Left Luggage' office early in the day, several hours before our train departed. It was fine, price seems variable depending on whether you're a tourist, but it'll be something like 100 baht per suitcase for the day. I was...More

Hua Lamphong is unofficial name of Bangkok's Main Railway Station. The official name of Bangkok Train Station is Sathani Rotfai Krung Thep or Krungthep Station. It has very beautiful huge hanger-like building with over 20 platforms, 26 ticket booths and busy hectic atmosphere. It is...More

Just straight away come to the hualamphong station a day or two before you go and buy it from there. I recommend a sleeper train because it can be a 12 hour trip to chiang mai.

Hi there are about 6 rooms. Don't bring your backpack or any bulky belonging inside, there is only 1 hook behind the door, 1 handle bar and 2 small wall ledge for your shampoo ect. Not very convenient I must say.
