The Mahakan Fort located close to golden mount is quite a large structure unfortunately you can not enter the site but still has some good photo opportunities.

There is plenty of these forts around the city, but I will always have the impression that they are somehow out of place. May be of interest if you enjoy forts in general or you are in the neighbourhood.

This small fortress is located on a busy intersection of downtown Bangkok. The gate is permanently locked and small park behind is a garbage-strew lot with a menacing dog roaming around. The canal next to it is foul smelling.

If you're visiting wat saket or loha prasat then go there because it is only a 5- minute walk from those temples but there's nothing much to see. This fort is not well maintained at all, it is actually super dirty, and it is small....More
