A proper old pub, serving a good selection of beers (although my favourite speckled hen was off) and great food menu. A must visit place in Bangkok, just have to run the gauntlet of BJ shops and massage girls to get there :-)

Stuck right at the end of Soi 7/1 so easy to overlook and miss, but well worth finding. Staff and owner Nick all very friendly as is the mostly ex pat farang clientele. Plenty of football memorabilia around too. Quiz on Thusday evenings is good...More

Tucked away at the end of a busy Soi off the Sukhumvit Road, The Pickled Liver may miss your attention if you are not specifically looking for it. That said, it's a worthwhile place to seek out if you yearn for a quiet pint in...More

The title says it all. I enjoyed the quiz which is held every Thursday evening at about 8.30. Mostly English speaking people in a nice, relaxed atmosphere

Decided to try as it did have some positive reviews and it is a rainy day in Bangkok and this is five minutes from where I live. Easy to find at the end of Soi 7/1. I was alone, very alone. Both Thai staff were...More

I was aware of this place but never put it on my "must do" list so when we took the wrong turning one night and stumbled across it thought we'd give it a shot. It's just a bar with a British theme. All the British...More

Service is good. The staff is smiling and friendly, but somehow seems unhappy at the same time. This is an English pub trying too hard to be an English pub. They have the "correct" type og menu, but with the wrong kind of ingredients -...More

A pseudo English pub that seems to represent all that was bad with British pubs in the 60's & 70's. And it has now found a home here in BKK, positioned at the end of a sordid soi that makes Sodom and Gomorrah look like...More

With a mix of shopping malls, hip bars and food stalls
lining both sides of Thailand’s longest road, you’ll
rarely encounter a dull moment along Sukhumvit. While
the main road itself doesn't offer a lot in terms of
entertainment, it's the adjoining 'sois' (alleys)
where the magic happens. Popular spots are soi 11 for
a lively night out, soi 4 for naughty nightlife and
soi 21 for world-class shopping at Terminal 21. It's
