This tour was absolutely incredible. So much good food and interesting people. I love Thai street food but it can be a bit intimidating when you don't know what things are or what's the best thing to buy so going with an experienced guide (and intrepid foodie) like Chin is the ideal way of finding all the best food.

Thoroughly enjoyed Chin's daytime food tour we did not eat or drink anything before the tour started and we're glad we didn't as we had so many things to taste. Chin chatted away to different local people and interpreted for us Chin is an absolute delight was always attentive to us and made us feel very comfortable. Food we would... More

Chin's passionate for her business if evident in every detail of the trip details. She is easy to work with for booking, punctual for pick up from the hotel, and was eager to show us Bangkok. We tasted a plethora of foods, visited markets, and learned about Bangkok's culture. Hands down, I would HIGHLY recommend this tour. We attended the... More

My family went on Chin's floating markets tour after a few days in crowded Bangkok city and it was a really good break from all the hustle and bustle and traffic jams! We met Chin at Wutthakat BTS station and drove for around an hour through several salt farms to Tha Ka market, with Chin starting to fill us up... More

Fantastic tour, visited Old Bangkok, bites at street food vendors, coffee, lunch and the huge fresh market. Worth the extra money for a personalized tour.

Chin was a friendly, knowledgeable guide who took our food preferences into consideration (vegetarian, spicy vs not spicy) when taking us on a tour around old Bangkok. The food was wonderful and varied. She knows everyone at every restaurant and food cart we stopped at. A great experience!

We loved the private food and culture provided by Chin at Chili Paste Tour. Chin's passion for Thai cooking, food and its history was evident as she guided us through Yodpiman Flower Mart and various vendors in Banglamphu. We sampled sticky rice and mango, sweet crepes, fresh fish in savory spices, green curries and a spectacular homemade lunch in a... More

After reading reviews, my wife, parents and I had very high expectations going into our day food tour with Chin yesterday. At the end of the day, we all unanimously agreed that Chin blew those expectations out of the water. We all absolutely loved it -- highlight of our Bangkok trip without doubt. We started our day at the flower... More

Staying in Banglamphu

Neighbourhood Profile
Banglamphu
While you’ll see skyscrapers in most parts of Bangkok, it’s the gilded roofs of ancient pagodas that adorn the skyline of Banglamphu, the city’s historical and most touristic district. Hordes of tourists flock to this area to tick quite a few must-see attractions off their to-do list, with the Grand Palace being the most spectacular of them all. Banglamphu is also home to Bangkok’s infamous tourist ghetto, centered around Khao San Road. Visit at night to feast on road-side pad thai, cheap beers and if you’re up for it, some dancing fueled by buckets of Thai whiskey.
