    Good views of BKK
Single trip.. I ended up spending more time here than planned.. Found the site to be restful.. So much higher above the city.. 0a firm breeze helped to cool things down a bit while I was taking in the breathtaking skyline view of Bangkok. Easy climb.. But not wheelchair friendly.. 50 Baht entrance fee.. Makes this probably one of the cheapest and easiest places in the city to enjoy.. Take a camera.. Take sunscreen.. Mind the steps.. Beware that this mount is an active prayer site as well.

    Not for the step haters
We decided to visit as it was relatively cheap to enter, only 50 baht each. Typically only for tourists 😡. Ladies and gents make sure your shoulders and knees are covered, otherwise its 50 baht to hire a scarf and 50 baht to hire a wrap around skirt, plus 100 baht deposit. Be prepared theres 344 steps to get up, although they aren't mental steep steps and theres plenty along the route to keep your mind off the fact that you're melting and out of puff. Theres a coffee cafe about half way up but we didnt go inside. At the top theres a little sanctuary to see some buddhas, vending machines for a drink and fans. Then another level up theres a big golden bell shaped structure and views of the city! There was also other buddha shrines etc scattered elsewhere but we decided not to do them all. Well worth a visit.

    Magnificent
We came on a Sunday morning to visit this Bangkok’s most familiar landmarks. We understand it was just reopened in April 2022, there is much lesser crowd probably due to the pandemic transitioning, but make for a better trip where we can feel safer & more enjoyable. Clearly visible from a distance, the Golden Mount at Wat Saket is a 58 metre high hill crowned by a huge gleaming golden chedi. We alighted at Saymot BTS and walked a good 20 mins here, entering via the side gate. While they are quite some visitors there were no din, there’s serenity and respect for the religious premise. Near to the starting steps up there are Displays related to the history of the Temple as well as the exchanges Thailand has with many other nations. Quite an eye-opener to read them and get more Insight!. Entrance fee is 50 TBH and one can start the 300+ step staircase hike, should be an easy enough for most to climb, snakes its way around the hill to the top. Along the way are the various Buddha statues which remind us of some Japanese temples of similar setup. Be rewarded by the paranomic 360 degree views, an amazing and stunning view over Bangkok. Beside the view there are some other interesting things to look into; the many Buddha images, the temple hall, the pagoda, the scripture hall, and even the Sri Maha Bodhi tree! We departed via a different route, where there are many shop houses and cafes. And some taxi, tuk-tuk hankering for business. With its panoramic views out over the city and calm, peaceful atmosphere away from the bustle of hectic life, the area is well worth a visit during your stay in the capital.

A temple on a hill overlooking the city with a marvelous view. Admission for tourists is 50 THB but definitely worth it. The temple complex is beautiful and definitely something worth visiting during your stay in Bangkok.

This beautiful temple is located on the Saen Saep Canal and next to the Phanfa pier of Bangkok. The temple opens at 8am though the best time for visit is 4 pm till sunset around 6 pm *closing time). As a foreign citizen I had to pay 100 THB per person. My friend and I climbed up the top of this temple to see the 360 degre amazing view of Bangkok. Visitors must not wear shorts and short pants to enter the place.
The most amazing thing in this place was there is a cove that has the ruins and Buddha statues of Bamyan (Afghanistan).

Beautiful Buddha and interesting place marred by scammers trying to suck us into buying jewellery. It’s a shame that this kind of stuff goes on and ruins time spent in Bangkok.

An impressive tourist attraction. The Golden Mount is best viewed when it opens at 7am because you will feel like a VIP as there are no tourists around. The walk to the Golden Mount steps takes you past some lovely gardens. and sculptures. As you begin climbing the 344 steps you are serenaded by the waterfalls. As you step onto the first level you can strike the bells or bang the big drum. Continue up to the next level and say a prayer at the shrine where you will find three rare jade Bhudda statues. Continue up the steps past more bells and arrive at the bell proper on the roof. Take in the 360° panorama of Bangkok. The beel itself is an impressive artwork and a testament to the craftsman's and engineering ingenuity of the Thai people of the past. On your way down, stop and take in the sculptural display of death in times of war. The vultures are eagerly awaiting their feast of the dead. The Golden Mount is definitely worth the climb for the view of Bangkok alone.

Nice view at the top with friend go there when tge full moon day. There are beautiful warter falls, plants and bell all around. At the end you can add a golden leaf to the tree and write o it with your wish. And then it is near China town, public transportation and also Grand place so that you can combine your trip. We also took pictures of golden bell, nice view and good sunset of above.

What an impressive sight the gold covered the great mount. It is a stunning building that dominates the landscape.

We would have really appreciated the opportunity to go inside the grounds and get a closer look at this architectural masterpiece.

Although we had to climb high stairs and go to different parts of the place, we can ssy its all worth it.

You can see entire city when you are on top.

The Buddha Cave was such a eye catching experience.

Only worth a visit, if you have already seen everything else in Bangkok. The temple is not located on a high mountain, from the skywalk at the king power building you have a much better view over Bangkok. The temple is seen in 30 minutes. Be prepared to wait for a long time for a taxi as the temple is away from the main sights, therefore the taxi driver ask for a high price.
