Missed that place when I visited Bangkok the first times. Now checked it out and the view is just great. You need a certain level of fitness to reach the top because of the heat, but it is worth it.

Wat Saket is a nice blend of beautiful Thai style temple and gardens that spiral out to the summit. Views of the city are worth seeing. Shame it's an overcast day. The breeze that blows thru the temple is so nice and refreshing as is the constant clanging of the bells. Recommend this place to all.

If you can walk some steps, you should not miss this wat. In addition to beautiful building, you will have a great panoramic view of the city from the top of Wat Saket.

Lots of stairs. 344 to be exact, there is a sign. ha ha ha The view from any side is worth the climb. Every Wat has there own unique display, how things are angled and the display of bells.

You have to walk over 300 steps and the entrance fee is 20baht. View is really nice and you can also hit the kong. It is worth to visit.

Just another temple, except this one's on top of a "mountain": climb 300+ steps surrounded by beautiful plants, flowers and ringing bells and you'll enjoy a breathtaking view of Bangkok.

This is one of must see in Bangkok, but be carefull what to wear-because of white walls and no wind it is very hot here and many steps to go,so take a rest if you feel unwell and have a water with you!!

The Wat Saket is a 15 minute walk away from the Khaosan area and just around the corner from the SANSAB water taxi stop. For 20 Baht you get access to a peaceful garden and a temple with awesome views of Bangkok - definitely a must, when you visit the city.

It's worth the short cab ride and 200 bhat to climb the stairs and see the Buddah statues and the views of the city at the top but nothing to write home about. The vendors with their boxes all over the place inside made the place feel less than 'sacred.' We read a lot about how people visit Bhuddist temples... More
