Khao San is the center of the old town, great street food and environment, cheap shops and hostels around, convenient to be staying for exploring Bangkok

KSR has become quite dreadful in my opinion. Not even that cheap and just full of negativity, drunk people and sellers. If you have the chance, research a bit and find yourself a real hostel or hotel in a thai neigborhood and you'll enjoy BKK...More

This is the place where you can do shopping in street market at reasonable price. Cheap food and you can enjoy in night time also.

While you’ll see skyscrapers in most parts of Bangkok,

this area to tick quite a few must-see attractions off
their to-do list, with the Grand Palace being the most
spectacular of them all. Banglamphu is also home to
Bangkok’s infamous tourist ghetto, centered around

Yes, and make sure that you don't believe anyone you encounter on the way there if they tell you it is closed. That is a scam trying to get you to go somewhere else.
