Silom Road is very famous in Bangkok people, when I asked everyone guided the road. Most of the local people also praying the GOD. Some of the Tamil speaking people are working in the temple, when I asked something in Tamil, they try to avoid to answer in Tamil.

Typical South Indian style temple in the middle of the crowded Silom road area of the City. The temple structure, like many in South India has the intricately carved facade painted in multiple colours unlike the stone finished temples, or white temples etc in other parts of India.

This temple is located on Silom road, it's a small temple, with nonstop Om Shanti Om chanting. It can be very crowded at times, with a lot of local people praying. It's nice to visit, and there are a lot of restaurants around the temple.

This is an interesting Indian temple to see but it’s so crowded that it’s not worth a trip unless you have other sites you need to see nearby. We wanted to buy a souvenir for my child from the woman in the small shop but she was so busy with others buying flowers and other offerings that we had to... More

Set amongst a busy traffic street scene one finds a vibrant colourful temple. Well worth a look in for its intricate designs and atmosphere punctuated with the dong from the temples bell. The adjacent side street is equally colourful with tye local street vendors selling their goods.

Went here on the afternoon after arriving as it was near our Eastin Sathorn hotel near the sumarsak station. Convenient to walk from bst and has lots of shops in the neighborhood. The artistic details of the temple are impressive, particularly the colors. Beautiful!

Staying in Silom

Neighbourhood Profile
Despite the lack of any major tourist attractions, this lively neighborhood is a favorite of many. Whether it's the (somewhat naughty) nightlife of Soi Patpong, the various handicraft night markets or the plethora of dining options that tickle your fancy, a night out in Silom is a must on every itinerary. It's worth a stop during daytime, too: join office workers on a quest to tasty street food during lunch and shop at Silom Complex for a great mix of Thai and international stores. After a day of strolling around the congested sidewalks, a visit to Silom's Lumphini Park, Bangkok's answer to NYC's Central Park, is a welcome change of scenery.
