Despite the heat and humidity, a great number of people thronged here to buy some souvenirs or to grab their dinner. Exit from Thailand Cultural MRT Station, turn left on Ratchadapphisek Road and move towards the Esplanade. Walk through to the back and you will...More

The night market was big and had a variety of food/drinks/things to shop. Very near to the Thailand Cultural Centre MRT station, just a few minutes walking distance. Traffic is bad from the evening (as usual), so I would recommend to take the MRT instead.

Went to this place with friends at around 8pm. Place was bustling, with a good mix of locals and tourists. There are 2-3 rows of food vendors and many other vendors selling things from toy to tattoos and haircuts. We went for beers and sports...More

My favourite night market in Bangkok, with enough food stalls, and bars and restaurants. The shops sell interesting items and clothes and they don't scrimp quality for price (think chatuchak's terribly cheap but trash qualitty clothing).

Very interesting Night Market in Bangkok. Not like Patpong, you can enjoy local foods (including seafood, insect food) here. This market locates just behind "Esplanade Shopping Mall" at Ratchadapisek Road, and walking distance (about 5 min) from MRT "Thailand Cultural Center" station. Pubs also available!...More

If you want to find lot of cheap street food, you should go to this night market. You can find a lot of things such as bbq, beer, clothes, electronic things, etc. You must eat here!

We visited this night market because they were a lot of raving reviews. This really raised our expectations but we didn’t find it too impressive. It’s similar to Pratunam and Chatuchak night markets, so for us it’s not worth the trek to this far side...More

Located behind the Esplanade shopping mall a short walk from Thailand Cultural Centre MRT. Has lots of bars around the outside of the market with food and stalls in the centre. Stalls seem to be selling clothes and mobile phone cases. Market seems to be...More

While I was told the prices are better at Chatuchak, I like Ratchada more. The majority of the market is divided into the shopping areas, food areas, and bar areas with a few mixed in between all three. You can easily spend the whole night...More

Yes, it is opened on Monday; but less shops less people. Thu-Sun will have more shops and busier. Enjoy.

Once you are there, you will spot plenty of bars to choose from. The ones at the northern end are the best for pictures.

ratchada (the one behind esplanade mall) is now open every night. mondays are a little quiet with some of the cafes and bars around the edges shut, but the food stalls and night market sections are all open.
