About
Pre-Revolution Cuban speakeasy style cocktail and cigar lounge in the heart of Bangkok. Open every day from 6pm - 2am. Playing a variety of Latino, Cuban, Salsa, Reggeatron and a large mix. We would also like to inform you that we have a smart casual dress code , which means we don't allow : Sandals, flip-flops or Birkenstock( only fully covered shoes for gentlemen) Sleeveless shirts for gentlemen. Shorts for gentlemen (during the weekend)

Thoroughly Enjoyed Havana Social. Excellent Mixologists crafting superb beverages. The atmosphere was friendly with people from all over the world enjoying the night (as life should be).

An amazing place and atmosphere, people are friendly, just for men to be sure not to wear shorts. I had to go but y pants in order to enter. The DJ is very skilled and the smoke room upstairs is fantastica!

A cool speakeasy with great cocktails and chilled out vibe. We got invited into a beginners salsa class for free which was a lot of fun. Ended up staying until the bar shut as we met new friends and got merry!

The decor is really cool - you fee like you could be in Havana - there are lots of different rooms with different vibes as well. Drinks were good. Empanada was tasty. Later at night you can dance or there are rooms where you can sit and relax. Fun establishment overall.

I attended the club on last Saturday 20th of August around 9 pm. At the entrance it was located Thai nightclub bouncer with long curly hair and ponytail.
Upon arrival, this Thai bouncer looked me defiantly up and down and shouted "ID!" in a very rude manner. After giving him my ID he told me to pay, when I stood in front of the counter to make the payment there were two Thai girls, the first girl whom I gave the money she speaks perfect English and was very kind. She gave my money to the second Thai girl who handled the cashier. However the second girl who was supposed to give me the change, she began to serve another client ignoring me instead of giving me my money change, which it was incapaz, so the first girl had to call the second girl's attention to give me the change.
Meanwhile, when I was waiting for my money change the bouncer with long hair shouted me again and told me to move away and not be close from him. But I was just in front of the counter waiting for the change. After receiving the change I told him politely that it was unnecessary to speak on that impolite manner, so he turned and put his face close to mine faced defiantly and he said "what do you have to tell me?!!" like if he was ready to hit me. I was shocked. On that moment the first Thai girl came and apologized fo the attitude of the bouncer and walked with me into the antrance. But the Thai bouncer kept looking at me in a defiant manner. He is a very stupid rude guy without manners. Then I explained to the Thai girl that it was completely unacceptable and she agreed with me that the attitude of the bouncer it was inappropriate.
I don't understand how Havana can have a bouncer at the entrance shouting respectable clients and treating them on a defiant manner behaving agajnst them like vulgar thugs.

I went Havana on Sunday July 17, 2022 around 8pm. At the entrance it was a small slim young guy probably half Thai-Indian with short hair almost shaved at lower part. When was going to enter he stopped asking me for my ID, however, he let enter first a copule that was behind me even if I was situated first before entering. He didn't ask the ID to the other couple only to me.
I am a European senior man of 38 years old. However, he treated me as a young boy even if this security guy was much younger. He was completely rude letting tje couple behind entering first and making me wait asking for crazy questions. Of course I let the place very angry.

Wow what a find, saw this on a blog and decided to check it out, phone box entry was cool as was the inside. Bit strange how you can't book any tables though without buying a bottle, who's going to buy a bottle for 2 people? They did let us sit on someone else's table until they arrived. Drinks were pricey but tasty. Loved the DJ music, but when the live band started at 9pm it killed the vibe for us -personal preference, but not really my scene. Would go back again.

I am a regular customer of Havana Social.
I went to the bar with three friends on Friday April 15th around 8.30pm. I was ready to pay in front of the counter while my friends were talking to each other. There was absolutely no one else waiting in line at the entrance.
At that moment the young and strong Thai doorman told me to get out of the queue if I was not willing to enter. I told him that of course I was going to enter and that it was not necessary to rudely kick me out of the entrance queue, to which he dismissively replied 'its ok'.
After paying when I approached the door phone to insert the entry code, the doorman rudely yelled at me from a distance, 'hey you, put the correct code'. Which seemed very rude to me, so I mentioned to the doorman again the need to yell at me to which he sarcastically replied again 'its ok'. If he wanted to make sure the code was correct, he could have simply walked up to the phone to give me a friendly direction, instead of yelling at me.
The Thai doorman speaks fluent English so it is not a communication problem, he acted in a rude manner deliberately first taking me out of the entrance queue and then yelling at me.
I hope Havana Social takes the proper action against this worker if they want the expat community in Bangkok to continue coming to this bar. Because given the price, a more professional treatment is expected at the entrance than that of a roadside bar.
Later, after entering, I tried to order a drink several times from a Thai waiter with blonde hair who ignored my request saying that he had seen me but would come back later. However, after serving several customers, he continued to ignore me, going to another end of the bar to not serve me.
In fact, when asking for a second drink at the bar, the same Thai waiter with blonde hair deliberately ignored me again after clearly seeing that he was requesting another drink. A horrible service, rude that of said waiter and great lack of professionalism.

If you are looking for a party, dancing atmosphere, I will recommend you to come on a Friday or Saturday. If you are looking for more like a chilling night with cocktails and good music, come on a Wednesday.
The best time to come at our place it's from 9:30 pm to 10 pm .
